Why is the output file size bigger in v.4 than in v.3?
Why is the output file size (tiff 100%, 16 bit, Windows Vista machine) bigger when the file is processed in Capture One Pro v.4 (4.8.1) than in v.3 (3.7.8 )??
Testing at the moment with a file from a Canon EOS 400D:
When the file is processed in C1 v.3.7.8 the output file size is: 57.4 MB (and with pixel dimensions 3880x2580)
When the file is processed with C1 v.4.8.1 the output file size is: 68.39 MB (px dim 3888x2592)
(The slight difference in pixel dimensions certainly does not account for the difference in file size)
And if I then open the 68 MB tiff file processed in v.4 with Photoshop and re-save it, it returns to a size that corresponds to what processing in C1 v.3 did (57 MB)!?
Why is C1 Pro version 4 inflating the file size? What's going on?
