File Numbering

Greeting all.
I've got C1 Pro 3.7 shooting teathered w/ my 20D and I have selected
always include & I use counter from Camera. But the software still uses it own 0001 imag seq. I've tried several combos with the Mark I as well and get the same result and it never uses the counter from the camera.
I have the latest firmware on the bodies.

  Sorry for the long wait for reply. Have you made any progress with this issue?
  To be sure I understand, is it the filename of the thumbnails or of output images where the naming goes wrong?
  Is the Camera counter reset?
  Have you tried only checking the Use counter from camera setting?
  If yes, what is the first image file name?

  with my 20D, I do have \"use counter from camera checked\"
  the fle name reads \"file name I have chosen\" 000001.
  When the camera gets disconnected and I restart C1 pro to connect the camera again the files are now named \"file name I have chosen\" 000001-1. javascript:emoticon(':(')
