Continuous Crashes C1 4.5.2

No Matter what I do, I keep getting continuos crashes in C1 4.5.2.. My System is Mac Pro 2.8 Quad-Core Intel Xeon running Mac Os X 10.5.5. with 8 GB Ram. My setup is the Phase One H20 connected to a Hasselblad. Never have any problems with CI Pro 3.7.8. Please could you advise.

    Re-installing won't reset the application.


    Hi Paul,

    As a matter of fact, yes, I did try the tips you suggested and it's now working again: thanks, much appreciated!

    It's a big laggy and slow now but at least it launches and I can do some work..

    I can't help but notice performance and speed issues in comparison to Adobe's Lightroom or even Apple's Aperture. Any idea when that'll be addressed?

    Hi Koby,
    Good to hear you're CO4 setup is running again. A new release (v4.6) is scheduled for later this month, which hopefully includes performance tweaks as well.

    I don't understand why we have been charged for purchasing this software surely we cant be the ones who test this software just so they can earn the profits as we loose ours...

    Continuous Crashes C1 4.8.1


    Keeping the current folder with max 300 files makes crashes happening less… maybe 3 to 4 times a day.
    It happens mostly when I type into the rotation field…

    Tip:
    when you get the infamous "capture One gets out of memory, please restart the application" (or some wording alike), DON'T click "ok" BUT do force quit then you won't make the computer crash and need a hard reset…
    Just relaunch C One and you're set…

    We have also 20 licenses on Intel 8 Core Pro Macs with 6GB Ram Mac OS X 10.5.7, and still the same problem :

    random shutdown of C1



    even if we process one or more files, sometimes after a few seconds or after working for half an hour.
    We try all advices from PhaseOne - deleting all setting Folders an files also clean new installation of C1 still the same problem
    We also reduced the Memory to 2GB....
    Now, today we Setup a complete new System on our MAC with bundled Update to OS 10.5.7 (advice from PhaseOne Support) to avoid the known Memory leak in Mac OS X 10.5
    But nothing's changed:

    random crashes of C1



    We're in hope of a stable Version or any other satisfying solution.

    Thanks for the updates Fotowerkstatt,
    I've the same crash problems with the C1 versions before 4.8. I was using the trial version of C1 now expired, I'm waiting to see that all these incredible problems are solved before purchasing a license.

    SORRY. I just realized I posted this to the wrong thread. I was looking at two different subjects. Is there a way for me to delete this?

    I just began experiencing these continuous crashes when processing. Thank you guys for working out a solution. But, I have one question:

    What do I lose when I delete com.phaseone.captureone.plist? Do I have to recreate some preferences?

    Just an update my c1 worked fine untill today it would not open, used cleam my mac to remove cache and didn't work. un and reinstalled and didn't work, i followed the instructions listed in this forum and deleted recipe and batch que files and now the program works,
