If you look back to the early days of this new look orum everyone was complaining about the vast acres of bright white unfilled screen estate. The background now is not pure white but a few shades darker would be nice, ;-)

Still too much wasted space.
The older (new) site used a light blue for text on a white background which was ridiculous.
So some improvement here.0 -
I don't see that having plenty of empty space is a problem. It is easier to read than some forums where text is just continuous with no breaks between lines - hard on the eyes for prolonged reading. Scrolling is not arduous, and there is no charge for the extra space, unless you actually want to physically print it out.
Just my preference, no doubt, but I like it.

Longer texts with more than 80 characters a line are really hard to read. So I have no problems with "extra space" and no need to save space in an electronic media. ;)

I am finding this to be a good visual balance for extended use.
I would love to have some additional changes to functionality but I guess that is dependent upon what Zendesk provides.
