Auto Updater for C1
ImplementedAn Auto Update Agent of Captureone for Windows would save a lot of time. Instead of going to the download section, looking for my login credentials and then downloading the file and typing in my key (again), a one button solution would be great. Like Adobe or Microsoft do for their products.

Same on the Mac. Compared to other products the update process is pretty tedious.

I can see why some are asking for convenience and I don't mind if a more convenient option is available (although, in my view, there are much more pressing issues to fix in C1).
However, I'd be against
a) having auto-updates which cannot be turned off, and/or
b) loosing the ability to do full fresh installs.0 -
I'm with ClassA and I'd like to do without an auto-update and decide for myself if and when I install an update. This results from long experience with C1 where a new update unfortunately brings new problems and breaks things that worked in the previous release.

I much prefer the option to install a new copy rather than overwrite what I have already working.
For me the process is fine. One only has to take a few minutes perhaps 3 or 4 times a year. Or less if an update does not interest you.

Actually I just hope for a button inside C1 where I can click if there is an update available (just optional). If you don't want to install it you don't have to click. Its just to save time instead downloading it manually. If the developers bring in this optional way maybe C1 could work with deltas to keep the updates smaller?

Well, I am a Windows user and have only been with C1 since last fall. BUT, I can say this... When I updated to the latest version and it broke my Edit with list, being able to simply install the previous version right over top of the existing version was SWEET. Uninstalls can be a nightmare especially if they take your settings and such away.
I backup everything every day and I can always go back via a system restore, but that takes time and not something I want to do because it has it's own issues (like how much to you restore, what directories? do you have to restore the who system drive? Then you emails from today are gone unless you use online email).

Backups are a always necessary when you work with computer. I am doing the 3-2-1 backup strategy the whole time. The whole system can be saved over night an I use incremental backups. I am also using IMAP instead of the POP3 protocol so you have all the mails after backup right up to date. But this has nothing to do with capture one or an integrated updater. Broken software can come through manually installed patches as well. And I don't wanna miss fixes in new versions.

Hi Robert,
Thank you for the request.
Your suggestions were taken on board and forwarded to the development team for consideration.
