EOS R5 .CR3 Files
I just completed my first shoot with my Canon EOS R5 and Capture One will not recognize the CR3 files. When I select the source folder that I have the files in for import, the pop-up window says "No Images In Folder". I know there is approx. 8GB of images in the folder.
Please help.

The R5 is not on the list of supported Canon cameras.

Not surprising as it is quite new. Maybe it will be supported in some future update.

It looks to me that Capture One supports Cameras, not file types. If you look at the base characteristics you'll see the ICC profile entries are for specific cameras.

Ok, well that isnt good news. do you have any idea when the camera will be supported? Do you have a support phone number?

No clue. I'm just another dumb user ;)
As for support... use the "Submit a request" link ==> Submit a request

Cameron,
CR3 is just a file data set definition. It will likely contain addition and new types of data compared to CR2 and CRW before it.
The data within the file need to be assessed individually for each new camera in order to address specific needs for the camera (and lenses sometimes) in order to obtain optimum results.
Usually this needs to be work undertaken with a product version of the camera. So if the manufacturer cannot make production approved version available some time before they launch to the consumers (assuming they make the cameras available to developers) then there will always be a delay in providing support.
Things have always been that way. Very few really speedy exceptions.
