Duplicating Previews

For various reasons, I have not imported images into Capture One for several weeks.  It seems that CO1 now duplicates creating previews when there is a change to the file name.  Is this correct?  And if, why?  There does seem to be a logical reason to re-create previews just for a file name change.  This is what occurred.

• Created a new session
• Imported 89 images into the session
• 89 previews were created during the import
• I then renamed the images
• CO1 re-created all 89 previews

I don't remember this happening before, so has CO1 been modified?

  Question for clarification: did you rename these files in C1 or using MacOS?

  Sorry, I should have made that clearer.  Re-naming was done in C1

  Bang goes that theory!

  Hopefully, one of the clever people in the community will have an answer - or you can go to C1 Support.
