Process Recipes & Proofing
Increasingly frustrated with the complexity and obfuscation in this. Can anyone help with or clarify the following:
1. it is impossible to turn off process recipes - one will always be applied to the image in the viewer. So what is the point of the proofing button (glasses icon)?
2. the process recipes panel can show six possible 'states': recipe highlighted grey (no orange ticks); recipe highlighted grey with one or more orange ticks on other recipes; recipe highlighted grey with orange tick and possible orange ticks on other recipes..........plus the variables of all the preceding with an orange highlight.
3. How does the proofing button relate/react to all these variables?

As far as I know and I use it, the orange highlight (or grey) informs you about the colour space/profile you are using when developing your images. The ticks are the spaces/profiles which are selected for the outputs, as Capture One is able to export the same image in various formats. The glasses is an improvement of the orange highlight : it takes into account the output dimensions of your image in order to see how space it will take, for a web publication, for instance. But maybe I missed some details.

Thank you Robert. That helps a lot. The help pages do not explain this so succinctly.
