The new forum is terrible software.
This forum platform is terrible. I don't know what problem it solves for Phase One but it does nothing of value for the users, as near as I can tell.
The login process is ridiculous. This forum does not remember who I am, so every single time I wish to post, I have to sign in. This process returns me to the Phase One support page where I am silently and slowly redirected back to where I was so that I can post something. This takes so long and has absolutely no indication of what it's doing, so it seems broken.
The back button doesn't always work, especially after making a post. I find it's actually impossible to return to the forum's top levels, like the list of posts or topics. Are you serious? How long have we had internet forums, worked out navigation issues, and gotten stuff done that this is an acceptable thing?
And why can't we edit old posts? (This appears to have either been changed, or it was another issue (related to the login process is my guess) that meant I had to contact support to edit an old post. So, disregard I guess.)
I run internet forums. I'm no programmer, but I successfully merged my wiki and forum database for users on different sites and this stuff is not difficult to manage. I'm not going to speculate about how this benefits P1, but I know for sure that it's not something that should give the users so much friction.
Please consider this a firm vote against this forum software.
