How to render entire image when zoomed in?
Hi,
when I zoom in to 100% and pan around, the image areas that come into view are blurry and need to be rendered first.
When I pan back to an area that was already rendered, it is blurry and needs to be rendered again!
This is very annoying.
I checked that hardware acceleration is enabled, since this was needed in Lightroom to get the entire image rendered.
How do I configure Capture One to render the entire image?

It is interesting and I had not noticed before but I see the same thing. It looks like the image is rendered on release of the mouse button. I probably had not noticed this because I use a pen display and the natural use of it for me is that I drag and release in one motion. Not sure how to fix this and suspect that this is just how C1 renders images.
Others may have some opinion on the matter. I would suggest that you use the Submit Request button and then you will get some sort of official response from C1 on the topic.

Terry,
Depending in the size of your preview file C1 may or may not need to completely re-render the temporary work file that is based on the preview file with the added edit details for the variant being displayed and any other factors that might be involved related to, for example, settings in the Output Process recipe and Proofing.
In addition the system needs to replace what it previously wrote to the screen and refresh the pixels.

I don't know what LR does these days but back at Version 1 I made some speed comparison tests with some other software (not C1) that worked similarly to how C1 works. LR looked much faster BUT it still took just as long to be offered the opportunity to make the next edit input.
Puzzled I looked more closely and realised that LS blasted something that looked different on the screen immediately and then took some time making small process adjustments dotted around the screen. You had to be looking to see it since no major area or adjustment was ever applied in one hit. The other application waited until everything was processed and wrote the blocks to screen in one pass. Very obvious as one looked at the screen. The LR approach at that time was much less obvious to the viewer and looked slicker but took just as long. Idea if the same observation would still apply now that we are many iterations of development further down the road.
Mark,
I think the re-writing waits for the mouse button release (or equivalent) and takes that as a signal that refreshing the display should now be actioned. It assumes the user has probably reached a position with which they are happy to view a refreshed presentation.
Most of the time you probably would not notice what is happening. With some heavy edits you might. Of the the system is well loaded with multiple applications and things are being swapped in and out of working memory.
The problem is that once you have seen it it may be difficult to "unsee" !

I am not exactly in the same situation, but perhaps related... I tether and shoot, and it either doesn't recognize the camera or the image is blurry and not loading at all. I unplug and replug the USB and it is OK, Shoot, but get a blurry image. I restart C1Pro and then that image I just shot does render and I can zoom in, but I cannot on the next image. I am just stuck and cannot continue. This has been On/Off situation for some time since I upgraded from C1 for Sony to full C1Pro . Each time this happens I jump off C1 and work alternatively or use the Mac Probook with older C1 and has no issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can continue until I get stuck on the next update. Currently this is with the latest 13.1.3.13 (updated just earlier to resolve, yet no go).
Win10, with latest updates 20H2 as well. With all these updates from multiple sources its hardly ever in sync for things to work.

now it is rendering the old images and shooting, But NOT RENDERING the NEW images. The activity logo showing that it is processing (clock looking icon) is constantly working and turning, but no rendered image, just blurry
