Another interesting problem, Capture 21 image import doesn't see .CR2 files from card in card reader, but they show up ok on my laptop in the disk file and I can drag and drop them into the Capture 21 capture folder no problem.

So Capture 21 is not importing correctly from camera or card reader.

I'll try a different USB cable that doesn't need USB-C to USB dongle

I can confirm this behavior. Tried today to do a tethered shoot with v21. Using Canon R5 v21 will disable all one camera functions. You can only shoot using the Capture One controls. I went back to v20 and it works as intended where I can still use the camera to shoot and the capture one controls.

I'm brand new to Capture One and testing the tethering. I'm shooting .CR2 files and only about every 1 out of 5 shutter clicks actually import into Capture One. It's so strange. I've taken about 30 shots with the camera and have only 12 images importing into the folder. I haven't changed any settings since, except for trying to shoot jpg instead... which also isn't working. What to do? Glad I'm testing before working with a client.

    Capable MacBook Pro

    Canon 5DmkIV

Tether Tools cable that works fine with LR.
