    Hi Brendan,

    You can open a Catalog from version 12 in version 21, however, you will be asked to upgrade it. The backup of your Catalog will be done automatically.

    Lily, thanks for the response. When I try to open the catalogue in version 21 it crashes. I'll try again. At the moment I re-installed 12, exported all the files and I am importing them to 21 so that I have a copy at least of the original files.

    I would suggest that it would be a good idea to use version 12 to verify the catalog in question, If there were any problems with it that it could repair, I guess that might cause a problem when it was upgraded to version 21. It can certainly do no harm to verify it, in any case.

    Ian, thanks. I verified it and it was successful but 21 still can't open it. It doesn't crash really (i.e. no crash report) but it just doesn't open.
