is version 20 getting any further updates?
Considering how shabby the CaptureOne team handled the pre-sales and how they absurdly raised the prices - will they still care enough for Version 20 to provide at least one update?
After all - people were still buying it until a few months ago so I'd say they should provide updates for a few months longer to at least fix some persistent bugs.
Otherwise it'd be another sign of C1 not caring for their existing customers and only wanting to get new ones.
Though with the current pricing that'll be very hard.

WHY should they? It has always been this way, and Capture One is far from alone in applying this approach.

Since the most widely used competitor is Lightroom and the last standalone-perpetual license of Lightroom was Version 6 we could compare it with that.
Version 6 was released in 2015 and got Updates as late as 2017.
But you're correct, Capture One was very quick to abandon their unfinished versions - and if they do it again it would be another reason for not buying any future upgrades.
After all, for a +200€ upgrade one would expect at least 12 months of support.0 -
Good to know I get to look forward to using the same buggy software seeing as the update is not even remotely close to being worth the price for its features for me. I guess I should look at it as a support package. Great. Wonder if they will add another lens profile sometime, Yawn.
