No sorry. For me, C21 is fast and responsive by now after i reset the OpenCL pipeline. I would suggest filing a support ticket.

The first release of C1-21 was slow and had a number of bugs in it which have been mentioned on here and C1 acknowledged they had an issue around Open CL. If you haven't downloaded the update released earlier today (14.0.2) download and upgrade the installation as it appears to include a pretty significant patch which has got rid of the previous sluggish performance issues which were a problem in 14.0.1. They also appear to have got rid of some minor issues which never got resolved in Version 20 at the same time.

Thanks for the feedback. There was no change with the latest release.

    I will post at support.

If you have an existing catalog, part of the issue could be due to the previews updating themselves in the background. This happens in V21 because they've made some improvements, but it means they all have to be rendered anew. So performance will suffer for a bit - every time an existing folder is accessed in V21 for the first time.

The impact has remained under the radar, but a lot of these topic likely have the same root cause.

    Hi Rob,

I have made the same experience. On my old Macbook C20 was no problem. With C21 I recognize a remarkably time  to calculate the view for the pictures, for example when I select different Styles. Now it needs up to 20s time to show the result of a applied Style. You can see, how C21 calculate, sometimes the colors change or the image is split before the final result is displayed. Even small processing steps (changing Exposure or similar) now need recognizable time. On a slow computer it is very noticeable. Even on my fast machine C21 shows a slowdown compared to the previous version.

In the meantime, there were so many reports about all the problems with the new C21 version that I switched back to the old C20 version. For me the new version has hardly any advantages and it is currently much more pleasant to work with the old one.

    Greetings

    Thomas
