Problems connecting camera w/ Catalina v 10.15.7

hello!! Please help!

My new Sony A7iii is not connecting to my Capture One 12 that's running on my new mac book pro, Catalina Version 10.15.7

I've gone through all the forums, I can see my mac is reading the camera when I check it in System Information. I dont have any google sync or google drives running in the back ground. I have adjusted Capture one camera preferences for it to search for Sony only by checking that box. 

when the camera is plugged in it says " USB Mode Mass Storage - USB - "

if anyone has experienced this issue, please help! I have all my tools here ready to work and now I cant do my job without this damn connection.

  You need to set a different connection mode in the camera so that the Mac does not immediately grab the camera as a Mass Storage device as soon as you connect it.
