Edit With option loses Contrast and Brightness with tiff files
I'm using Capture 1 v 21 and when I edit a tiff file and select Edit With a new tiff file is created and it has lost it's contrast and brightness. The edits are not lost they are kind of reduced if that makes sense.
The Tiff files come from a film scanner (Noritsu) I can edit them ok, the sliders are not greyed out in C1. Once imported the Base Characteristics have an ICC Profile - From File (sRGB IEC61966-2.1). I have also tried changing the profile of the scan to Adobe (1998) in Photoshop and reimported and I still have the same problem.
I have checked my process recipe for proofing and I have TIFF - 16bit - Uncompressed- Adobe RGB (1998) - 360 px/in - Fixed
When I select Edit With I have the options as - Tiff - 16 bit - Uncompressed - Adobe RGB (1998) 360 px/in - Fixed - 100%
I'm trying to edit the scans and then print them via Imageprint to my Epson.
I'm using an EIzo calibrated monitor and can see a significant reduction in the contrast / brightness of the image that is created with the Edit With command when I compare it to the original file.
I do not see this problem in Lightroom (I don't want to use Lightroom). this is a year long project and not just a few tiff files. I am trying to work out what I may be doing wrong.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
