Folder not visible but images are imported

Why arent recent images imported showing up in the folders tab... They are in Recent imports but not visible in the folder tree.

  They may have been imported to a pre-existing library?
  
  To be sure, right click on a thumbnail and select "SHOW IN FINDER".
