Jpg export quality loss
When I export photos from CaptureOne as Jpgs (at 95) there is a dramatic quality loss. The images lose contrast and look muddy and grey. How can I avoid this?
This loss of quality happens in CO with Jpgs but not with Tifs. Also, it happens in CO but not in Photoshop. (In PS the jpgs look very similar to tiffs, with just a little more contrast and a little less resolution.)
As a work-around, after exporting my images from CO as jpgs, I reimported them, re-corrected them, and re-exported them. This restored the original pop but I lost some detail in the shadows.
When I looked at the re-imported images, I noticed that the Levels were off, with flat lines at each end. The correction I made eliminated these flat lines.
Obviously my work-around not an ideal solution so please would you let me know how to get top quality jpgs (comparable to PS) first time around.
Thanks, Malcolm.

Malcolm,
There are a number of ways that one can export images in C1 and all of them offer a lot of settings for the process to consider.
I think that without some detail about your process and settings your request will have no reference point for any changes that may need to be made - whether to workflow and the settings you are currently using or somewhere in the processing engine with Capture One.
My initial suspicion, based only on the way you have described what you do for later correction and given that you will be working with a compromised jpg after the first iteration, is that there may be something in your current process and settings which is not optimal for your needs.
Digging into the details of that would be a good starting point no matter where it leads.
