Duplicating Windows installation customization on MacOS
I've been using Capture One 21 v14.0 on Windows10. I haven't updated it to v14.2 but I can if that will help things.
Anyway, in the Windows, I've been able to backup basically everything that I've customized about Capture One. To be specific I've backed up my keyboard shortcuts (CustomCommands), ProStandard being the default ICC Profile for my camera (Base Characteristics), my presets (Presets60), my recipes (Recipes120), my styles (Styles50), and my workspace (Workspaces130). The items in parenthesis above are the folders in Windows.
How do I get those customizations onto a new M1 MacBook Air that I've purchased? I think I'm in the right path (Library/Application Support/Capture One), and I can see some things like Presets60 and Recipes142, but it's definitely not the same as in Windows.
Some things seem to work (such as recipes) but others don't (such as workspaces). Should I be able to dump them onto MacOS and have them work? Should I update Windows to v14.2 first? Or are there some things that I just have to re-create manually in MacOS?
Or am I doing something wrong? I am new-ish to MacOS.
Thanks,
Manny

Workspaces (and other things) on a Mac are kept as Property Lists -- .plist files. I don't know the format Capture One uses for windows. If you know the format perhaps you can search for a method to convert that format to a plist file. Good luck.

There is an article covering some of the differences between Mac and WIndows.
What are the differences between Capture One for macOS and Capture One for Windows? – Capture One
Not very much but it may help in some areas. Workspaces, for example, may have some innate differences that do not readily convert. Likewise keyboard shortcuts.
"Runtime settings" relating to real-time activity settings are held in a user.config file in Windows and are, realistically, not really shareable between different windows computers let alone Win and Mac .
That may not matter if you are converting entirely from one system architecture to the other but if you are planning to use both and share the sessions or catalogs it may be worth understanding what effects that might have in your workflow.

Thanks all. I think I've figured this all out. I am going to be using both Windows (desktop tower, when at home) and MacOS (laptop, on the go) moving forward, so I am trying to get them to match as closely as possible.
I'll summarize what I've learned below, in case it helps anyone. No promises that everything works right (as I haven't fully tested) or that it'll be right in the future.
Windows (C:\Users\YourName\AppData\CaptureOne) to Mac (/Users/YourName/Library/Application Support/Capture One):
These seem to be transferrable:
- Presets60 = Presets60
- Recipes120 = Recipes142
- Styles50 = Styles
- Defaults\Base Characteristics = Defaults\Base CharacteristicsWorkspaces need to be created from scratch, because they are stored in different file formats (xml vs plist):
- Workspaces = WorkspacesKeyboard Shortcuts need to be created from scratch, because they are stored in different file formats (xml vs plist):
- CustomCommands = KeyboardShortcutsPreferences need to be set from scratch. I just took some screenshots to create a backup.
Also, the Keyboard Shortcuts window can create an HTML page (List Shortcuts) which can also be used to create backups. I found it easier to search/find in a web browser to compare if I had set things equally on both computers.
