IPTC Photo Metadata - Extension Fields for Model/Person
Hi, I only found two posts about it and no feature request. So here’s mine;-)
I really wonder, specially if C1 was targeted in the past specially for studio and fashion photographers, why there aren’t all IPTC Extensions implemented yet.
All the Model infos and "Person Shown in the Image" are quite useful. I don’t want write everything in the keywords field.
I rather don't need this Getty stuff, but a nice to have.
Maybe also include some custom "User Metadata" sets.

I have made many requests before to Capture One to do something about the Metadata. C1 metadata is terribly one sided towards fashion photographers (not just in the past, it still is).
I think C1 should not be preconditioned to a particular genre. I am mainly a travel Photographer and my metadata needs are very different from fashion guys. Each users has different interests.
Metadata interface should be configurable for each user, selecting available tags from a vastly expanded set of tags. The horrible Keyword interface should be updated. But C1 developers care only about image quality (which they do very well). Data management issues they seem to have no interest in. It would be nice if they would do something, but do not count on it.
Personally I use C1 for raw editing, then IMatch for metadata and a homegrown HTML5 based Catalog for metadata query and display. My objective hereby is to have people on my home network query and view all the images on whatever device supports HTML5.

C1 has a long way to go if they want to close the gap and make the application become a metadata powertool. Luckily, there are such tools out there, I prefer Photo Mechanic myself.
