Metal support for Intel Macs

Since touting the new M1 release with Metal support, it’s come to light that Intel Mac users are left in the dust. Please enable Metal on Intel Macs! OpenCL has been deprecated since 2018.

  Hi Ivan,

  Thank you for the post.

  We are aware of how important Metal support for Intel Macs is for our users and we are working very hard to bring it to you. 

  Metal for Intel processors is currently under development but we can’t comment on release dates yet, we’ll be updating all our channels when we have more information about it.

  It would at least be great to know if Metal support for Intel Macs is planned or not!
