This is a users' community forum - not Capture One support.

Most ultra-wide lenses have uniform distortion (typically quite some barrel distortion at the wide end and pincushion distortion at the other end). You should get fairly good results by setting some generic distortion correction manually.

I'm not familiar with Sony mirrorless cameras. Do they embed a correction profile in RAW files? If so, it should be available as "Manufacturer profile" in C1. That's at least how it works with Fuji and Nikon cameras.

I just checked with a sample RAW file from dpreview. "Manufacturer profile" is available in C1 with the Tamron on Sony cameras. So, there's your lens support profile :)

Hi Markus - thank you so much for doing this investigation. I really appreciate it! I switched from Lightroom that natively supported the lens to Capture One (which I'm definitely enjoying). I got used to the distortion "auto-correcting" which wasn't happening in C1. I didn't fully understand the "manufacturer profile" and assumed it was a default C1 setting - so thank you for taking the time to help me! Cheers!
