Copy > Paste layers

I upgraded from V12 to V21 and can't get used to the copy>paste when layers are involved. It now adds the layers to the file, rather than replacing them.

Let's say I shoot a house with 5 rooms. I have 10 photos and give them all the same basic adjustments/layers. I then start editting photo #1 in room #1.. I adjust some stuff, including layers.. and want photo #2 which is also in room #1 to have this exact same settings and layers.. so I copy and paste.. but I then end up with the double amount of layers (and not the look that I want). Of course, I can first revert photo #2 to it's original and then paste.. but that's an extra job to do, which is not what I'm looking for. 

Any solution for this?

  Look at the very recent post titled "Applying later adjustments" and see if that helps.
