JPG Panorama Stitching with pictures taken on a DJI Mavic Mini
Hi
I have pictures taken on a DJI Mavic Mini 90° down and want to stitch them together and must realize that Capture One only supports RAW-files for stitching. Why?
I can understand the color grading is better on RAW and the output is of higher quality. My DJI Mavic Mini just simply does not support RAW. What can I do with my JPG-files?
This is my only option. Please help!
Mange tak,

Timo,
The Panorama process is specifically designed to take RAW files, do what it does and then produce a DNG "RAW" file ready for editing with all of the possibilities of a "RAW" file.
The process is not currently developed to do more than merge some files to create a new RAW file that happens to use one of the DNG file standards.
This feature is probably quite rare I would guess, with few other applications creating new RAW equalivalent files blended from RAW files. On the other hand there are probably a hundred applications or various levels of development that will do something somewhat acceptable with jpg or TIFF files. So I would guess that Capture One decided to concentrate development on the creation of a new RAW file rather than produce a "we-do-it-too" application that attempts to be offer the level of final output processing that already exists widely in the market.

Even though Capture One developed something unique, why not also support the basic? Why do I need to use a simple AutoStitch if I bought a special software to develop panoramas. I Solved my problem in an unsatisfying way and believe Capture One could have done a far better job. Might it be an input for the development team.

Timo,
No point in asking me. I'm just a user.
My guess would be that they did not set out to create yet another stitching and merging application for a market where so many already exist and 99% of HDR and Panorama images are probably created by "smart" phones.
I would suggest you add your observations to the Feature Requests section of the forum.
