No process recipes on export dialog on 14.3.0.185
Hi all,
Recently upgraded to 14.3.0.185 on Windows 10 on a new machine.
I had noticed that all my old process recipes disappeared. Not saying this was a bug, that was probably on me and failure to managed catalog files properly. No big deal.
But I did have to re-import 40K+ images into the catalog. Ever since then, Capture One as been so sluggish as to be almost unusable. I figure it's doing some behind the scenes work to finish ingesting the images. So even that doesn't phase me too much. Willing to wait a while on that issue.
But the problem that has me stumped right now is that when I try to export an image, the export dialog opens up and I see the image in the viewer and I see the orange export button in the lower right of te dialog.
But I see NONE of the process recipe tools on the left side of the dialog box. It's just one big blank section of the tab.
If I hit the export button anyway I'll get an error message about some default export path not being set so I'll set it to the desktop. THen it will write a tif file to the desktop. And sometimes during that process it will crash (but not every time).
Any idea how I make the process recipe boxes reappear on the export dialog box?
Thanks

Calvin,
Are you using a personalized Workspace created in an earlier version or release of C1?
I ask because, as you probably know already, the Export/Output Process functionality is extensively redeveloped for the 14.3 release to the point where there is no separation in the user interface as there once was.
If you happen to be using an older personalized workspace what you are seeing may not reflect the revised options.
Just a thought that may be worth considering.

Thanks SFA. As a rule I do not customize workspaces. But just to be sure I reset the workspace back to the default. And there is nothing wrong with the workspace itself. All the tools and tabs are where I expect them to be and I can edit photos just like I always have.
THe problem occurs for me when I hit the Export button at the top, next to the import button. That opens a nw window / dialog box. And in the past the left side of that dialog window had all the process recipes and their settings and I could select which recipes I wanted to export etc etc. But those recipes have disappeard from that dialog window for some reason and I know of no way to make them come back.
This is important to me because I use some recipes for generating files to print and other recipes to generate files for instagram, etc etc. And right now I have no idea what recipes are being used (if any) when I hit the export button. Nor do I know where they are being written to, if at all.

OK I did the following:
-- Uninstalled Resolve. GOt a message that not everything could be removed.
-- Rebooted
-- found c:\Program Files\Capture One and deleted the folder
-- Logged into Capture One site and deleted all license activations
-- Reinstalled Capture One
-- Rebooted
-- Launched Capture One and reactivated the license key
-- Tried an export and my process recipes are back on the Export dialog.
No idea why that worked and that was probably overkill. But at least I am back in business!

ok i spoke too soon. When I lunched Capture One the first time after reinstalling. I was able to export one picture no problem. But then the problem returned shortly after.
But I think wht's going on is that I imported so many pictures into the catalog (40K+) that it bogged down the system the UI just kept getting more and more unresponsive and eventually I had to just shut it down. So the issue is much broader than process recipes disappearing. Also thos 40K+ images where on a slow external USB drive. So that could have had something to do with it too.
So I started a brand new catalog and imported about 900 images from the C drive. No problem whatsoever. So I think the problem was importing so many images from a slow external drive.
This is forcing me to rethink my entire library management approach!

Yes, unfortunately there is still an issue with large libraries in Capture One. For that reason I started to create yearly catalogs - one separate catalog for each year.
