Wireless tethering feature request - Jpeg transfer only
Implementing wireless tethered shooting in 22 is a great step forward, but unless we can choose to import JPEGs only, it is far too slow and not practical at all in the studio.
When shooting onto a Ipad I use an app called Shuttersnitch which only pulls the JPEG and leaves the RAW file on the memory card. This workflow is fast and in my view the only workable way to shoot wirelessly until we get USB3 standard wireless speeds.
Even for normal tethered shooting an option to import JPEG only would be great for fast moving fashion shoots. RAW file sizes are starting to get really huge and even with USB3 I'm finding the import speed starting to lag on my R5 compared to the 5Dmk4.

Further to the slow usb tethering I mentioned, this has been pretty well solved by upgrading from USB3.0 to USB 3.1
The wireless tethering request still stands though, any comment?

Yeah that function will be great. Right now I use an FTP Server on my MBP and the Hotfolder function in Capture One. on my Canon R5 I set to JPG Transfer only. That works great but I can't change the Settings.

Hi Mark, so with your hotfolder process are you leaving a raw file on the camera?

I vote this up as well! iPads don’t hold many files before filling up with raw files. It is not practical to remove raw files every time they fill up. Jpg transfer only would allow previewing images larger while shooting without filling up the iPad storage.
