If you want your fellow users here to suggest some solutions, we'll need more information.

What version of Capture One? The latest, version 20.3 (Build 14.3)?

    What version of Windows?

    What computer?

Have you had a previous version of Capture One working OK?

And any other information that you think might be relevant.

    Hi Ian,

Thanks for reply, information as follows

Capture One 21 (Fuji Version) Build 14.3.0.185

    Windows 10 Ver 21H1 X64 (KB5004296)

    Dell Laptop G3 3590

Prior to latest update of Capture One 21 I have not had any problems.

Program never fails whilst in use, only happens randomly at start up but once it has occurred only answer is to delete database or uninstall and then reinstall complete program.

    Rgds

Ok - thanks for the information. I'd suggest you submit a support request (use the Submit a Request link at the top right of this page). They will probably ask you to submit your log files, which may contain information that helps track down the problem. (If I remember right, they'll tell you how to get your log files and submit them.)

    Geoff,

I would go with Ian's advice and also check the Windows logs to see what Win 10 is reporting.

Uninstalling and re-installing may not resolve any odd Windows related "cache" or temporary files anomalies.

Are you running with internal drives for your application and data or do you use external drives or a NAS or something like that?

Does your Dell come with the Dell "Support Assist" package? If it does it may be worth running it to see if it highlight anything going on within the system that might be influencing what you are seeing.

Also check the Events Log tool in C1 and, perhaps, have the Activities window open any time you close C1. That should ensure that is will also be opened next time you start C1 and may report something of interest should the random problem appear.
