RESPECTING IN-CAMERA CROP ON IMPORT
I have converted from LR.
I shoot RAW with Fuji GFX and X cameras.
LR preserved the full aspect ratio RAW file during import but also recognised and applied the in-camera crop (Could revert to full file if required).
C1 does not respect/recognise ANY manufacturers in-camera crops. WHY?
This problem with C1 has been referenced in forums etc for several years without tangible response. WHY?

C1 respects the in-camera crops for the Pentax K-1 and I wish it would treat them as "soft crops", i.e., just pre-apply a crop inside C1.
Instead, sadly, all the raw data outside the cropped area becomes permanently unavailable (although it is still in the file).

I came to make a new post and found this one on my same topic. I shoot with primarily a Sony A1 and love the in-camera choice to shoot in 4:3.
Lightroom happily supports this as when I import my Sony A1 images shot in 4:3 the images import the same way I shot them. However, when I go to crop the image in Lr, I see that the original image data for the full sensor is still retained (allowing me to recompose slightly if desired).
I wish Capture One would also similarly function for cameras where the crop occurred In-camera, since those of us who choose to do this, do so for a reason (for me it's to mimic the traditional film aesthetic of shooting a 645 camera).
Seems like a simple fix, what say you Capture One?
