    Hi Natascha,

Once you have migrated from CO 21 to CO 22, you won't be able to use your CO 21 catalogue anymore. And CO 22 will open your CO 21 catalogue and update it to the new 22 version without doing anything from your part.

Your CO 22 key will also work for any earlier versions of Capture One you have, so no problem there.

I'm using CO 22 on several machines, and also have C1 21 installed on them. I'm able to open my catalogs in both versions of C1 with only one very small issue. Previews created in one version don't look the same in the other, so if I want to work in both versions, I Regenerate Previews for the images I'm working on. BTW, I've now stopped working with 21, although it's still installed.

You can't have both versions of C1 running at the same time on the same machine, though.

The one gotcha: I'm running on Mojave OS, which isn't officially supported by CO 22. So far all CO 22 functions work perfectly, though, and the processing engine apparently wasn't changed in the update (it shows "Capture One 21/22".

It's true, though, that in the past, new versions of C1 changed the catalog and catalogs created/updated in the new version wouldn't work in previous versions. So far, though, as far as I can tell, that hasn't happened with v22.

HOWEVER: Don't count on this interoperability for future CO 22 updates. They may add processing features or do something else that requires updating the catalog in ways that kill the ability for v21 to use v22 catalogs.
