Mac Mini to run C1. M1 or Intel?

I need a backup computer. I have to send my MacBook Pro out for battery replacement and it looks like it will take at least a week to get back. I cant afford a week without my computer. I shoot tethered to C1. I'm looking for my least expensive Apple option. Can I get away with base model M1 mini?
