Capture One DNG version

I work for a national archive and we will be using Preservica  for our digital archive management. 

Our IT department have discovered that the version of DNG that C1 produces is version 1.1 this is a very old version and one which is not recognised by DROID which the Preservica software uses to verify files.

So my feature request is to have the version of DNG updated to 1.4 or newer so that we can use the C1 workflow to produce DNG files.

  A sensible request.

  However, looking at it the other way, why would a digital archive application not recognize older version file types that, might well be widely used, historically, for files that one might expect to archive?

  Just a question as it seems like an odd decision.

   

  Also what is available is a Conversion facility to convert one type of RAW file to another, no edits included.

  Therefore you may have other options available to you depending on the objectives of the export if you need to make the conversion operational soon.

  I agree you also pose a very sensible question about the older file versions. I have passed this onto our IT section.
