PC performance while exporting - got worse recently

I can't remember exactly which release has caused this, but a fairly recent update has caused the performance of my PC to drop considerably while exporting.  Video playback - like on YT - is now really choppy while C1 is exporting images and the CPU usage is spiking quite a lot.  The export itself also seems slower.  The machine now feels like when I used to run LR!

It's an older PC but it's only a very recent update that has started to cause this.  I *think* it was either the one where the export dialogue changed, or the one where it was possible to change it back.  Anyone else seen this?

  There was a related issue regarding the sudden loss of hardware acceleration due to some changes in the graphic card driver and it's interaction with C1. Can you check if hardware acceleration is still working for you?

  Thanks for the reply.

  All I can see is that in Preferences/General it says "Capture One is using hardware acceleration"
