original path for catalogued image
Having thousands of catalogued images scattered around various external drives. I need to be able to see the original file path (at least original volume name) in order to find the original image when needed.
The "?" icon under the thumbnail or the "Offline" displayed over the preview on viewer clearly indicates that the original is not present.
OK, good to know.
But where can I see the original path for the file in question so I can mount the relevant drive to access to it? This is such a basic piece of information on any database, I'm surprised I'm having trouble finding it. I'm sure this info is somewhere very obvious, probably staring at me but I simply cannot see it ....
Any suggestions please?
Thanks
Arnold

If you right click an image you can choose Show in Explorer (which it can't because it's offline) or Show in Library, which it can because that takes you to the folders section of the Capture One Library tool, which will show the folder it's supposed to be in.

Hi Ian
Thanks for your input.
It helped, but the main problem still remains unsolved.
The right click - show in library does show the folder/drive letter, but not the drive name which is what I need to know..
Since all HDs in question are effectively external drives, the OS gives them a letter when they are mounted, The actual letter (D, L,H, etc., etc.) will depend on how many other drivers are mounted at the time and what really tells me in which actual HD the images are is the unique individual name they all have: Ext-01, Ext-02, etc. in my case.Any database should retain this information (and be able to show it when required), specially image related databases as image makers are very likely to be storing their work on a variety of drives and storage devices.
The "Show in Library" route requires me to keep mounting all possible drives until I find a given image which defeats the purpose of having a catalogue/database in the first place
Would you (or anyone else) know how to get the original disk name info? Thanks
Arnold
