Memory Full?
2021 M1 Max Macbook Pro
Capture 21 — 14.4.1.16
12.0.1 Monterey
+ an LG Ultrafine 5k display

Hey all,
I've been working on a photographer's brand new machine (2021 M1 Max MacBook Pro) running latest Capture 21 (14.4.1.16). I understand this is probably not the best practice in a live-work situation, but these were the cards I was dealt.
About halfway through the day, after about 1200frames or so; had a critical error pop up saying "Memory Full", forcing me to quit out of the program. Upon restart, program seems to be running fine. Some processing during the day (but not hundreds of frames).
Other applications open (photoshop, & Chronosync), but believe it's Capture One causing this problem.
This is the 2nd time this has happened.
Is there a known memory leak associated with this setup?
-
Perhaps it's due to the fact that the system memory is shared between the CPU and GPU and using the 4k and a 5k external screen...
How much RAM does your MBP have?

I work on a Mac Pro 6.1 with 64 gb RAM under big sur and current C1.
In fact, I observe a considerable memory consumption over a period of use of half a day.
The last time there was over 50 gb of RAM in use. After stopping C1, the memory usage dropped to about 15 GB.0 -
Daryl: Monterey is not a stable OS right now. Plenty of bugs and intermittent memory leak issues.
Bernhard: From what I've seen, all the previews of the images you looked in the current instance is stored in RAM and isn't fully released until you close the whole software.

Wesley, I'm not sure wether that's good for those on one of the new M1 Macs with 8 GB of RAM ...
