Auto Select New Capture- Immediately not working

Set up:  Capture One 21 14.4.1.16/ Mac OS 12.0.1/ Nikon Z7 ii / 3meter TetherTools cable/ MBP16" 32GB ram

When I am shooting tethered, the small images are displayed on the right side of Capture One software but noting is displayed in the center unless I manually select/click on the thumbnail on the right.  When I do that and then take another tethered image, that new image is added to the right thumbnail column but the new image is not displayed in the large center area.  I have "Immediately" selected in the Camera Tab- Auto Select New Capture.  Thoughts?

On a side note...I finally was able to get my Nikon Z7 ii to tether reliably (except for this issue) by using a 10ft TetherTools cable...a 16ft (and I tried 2 different ones) would not work.

  Is auto-pause ticked?

  No...auto-pause was not ticked but thanks for the feedback
