Managing different Captuer One Licences

    Carsten,

So far as I can recall there has never been a C1 license that offered more than 3 activations (so long as they were not being used concurrently). A multi-user license or an Enterprise license would be an exception to that observation but I don't think that is what you are talking about.

So I think you would have to keep a separate account and/or 2 licenses to make things work for you.

I'm not sure about the "Phase One" account question. Did you or do you have a Phase camera?

I would suggest that you ask the appropriate department at Capture One using a "Submit a request" case.

I don't use a phase one camera - I thought phase one is the company who produces capture one.

I want to use C1 version 20 on two computers and C2 version 22 on two other computers. Therfore I own a C1 20 licence and i bought an additional C1 22 licence independently (no update or upgrade licence).

I have the C1-20 software installed on two computers and activated. Now I want to install the C1-22 software on a third computer and register it with the new register key I got when I bought the new software recently.

In order to register it, I have to have a capture one account with a email attached. Now I need to know if I can use the same capture one account, which I am already using and where my C1 20 software is already registered, so that the new key is identified as a new software licence and not as an update licence, making the old key invalid.

In short terms: Can I put 2 seperate C1 register keys in one capture one account making both work?

    Thanks for everyones help!!!

Yes, you can register multiple licenses under one account. So simple as that. Since you did not upgrade your CO20 license and bought a separate CO22 license, you can utilize both licenses to the maximum of their available activations. Depending on the license it is either 3 or 2 activation per license. You can check that from the Capture One website when you log in, under License Management.

Although Phase One and Capture One separated, there is still one activation server. So your Phase One account is your Capture One account if I am not mistaken. So do not worry about these semantics.

I can confirm that it works.

    Now under

    Lizenz-Management

it shows "Capture One Pro 20" with its own drop down menue and "Capture One Pro 22" with its own drop down menue.

    Excellent news.

If you ever consider starting a subscription license be sure to check for any possible effects that such an account change might have on your existing perpetual activations.
