HDR TEST

Hi there, I was wondering is there anyway to try the HDR function before I purchase the license. I alredy have capture one 20 and it is perfectly fine, but I am curious about the hdr. Or if there is some gallery where I can see alredy merged images. I am professional architectural photographer and very curious of expanding the dynamic range and keep the colors as close as possible to the reality.

    Try the 30 day Free trial?

    Working with your own images will likely be more meaningful for you decision than looking at someone else's work.

    Just install into its own folder. 

    Use a catalog or sessions that are NOT your day-to-day working catalogues. Ideally keep things very separate in terms of data.

    That said many parts of Capture One now keep their activities separate from previous versions, So, for example, using a session if you choose to use a folder of images that you have already edited in a V20 session the V22 trial edit files will be saved in a different subfolder to the V20 edits and therefore will not interfere with continued used of V20.  

    Do not take my word for it. Check the way things are working after installation but before you do much editing!.

    Catalogues are slightly different and I'm not a catalogue user. I would suggest creating a new test catalogue  and using that for testing only (if you are a catalogue user).

    Look over at the Mac side.

    From my experience, the C1 HDR is no way a good as Photomatix or other similar products.  Stitching an HDR panorama with C1 is mediocre at best.

    Do you not think it would be more appropriate to let people make their own decisions?

    Bear in mind that if you put enough people off using the application before they have even assessed whether it suits their needs then the expectation might be that there is no point in further developing. Indeed it might be discarded sooner rather than later. 

    If that should happen your Feature Request for future enhancements would be irrelevant.
