About HDR noise
What are your thoughts on using HDR?
Isn't the noise too much?

HDR Pano merge is a major disappointment. There was severe chroma problems between frames. For example, I used 18 images (-2EV, 0EV, +2EV) to create a six frame pano. Frame 3 showed severe chroma at 400%, Frame 4 had no chroma, Frame 5 had the same chroma problem and Frame six had no chroma. At 100%, the problem largely disappeared (not completely). To make sure that the problem was not my input images, I ran the same 18 images through PTgui, Photomatix (stitching in Affinity) and Affinity Photo, stand alone; no evidence of the chroma problem at 500%. To isolate the problem (was it HDR merge or was it pano stitching) I used the 0 EV shots from the 18 image-set and stitched in C1,22; no problem. John Magnoski (https://www.youtube.com/c/JohnMagnoski/featured) discussed why he is disappointment. In a private communication he said that he was experiencing the same noise that I observed.

You raised a good point, I was using a Canon 5D2 and my results were terrible. But if it was only the camera, I cannot envision how the some frames were good and others were bad. My shots were taken sequentially with the same camera. Here is a sample of the 5/6 boundary.

I had to delete my earlier post.
I will post it again below. Thanks for the reply.
When I did HDR with my sony camera, the noise was beautiful, but with my Canon camera, the noise was terrible.
I wonder if that is a possibility?
What do you think about Canon and sony users? As a result of re-verification, the noise was terrible even with sony.

Are we discussing the HDR tool or V22 HDR Merge technology?
