cursor stuck on arrow capture one 22

My cursor is stuck on an arrow instead of the round circle.  This is happening for mask and erase - so I cannot see how big or small the tip is which is incredibly annoying.  I am using CO 22 for Fuji on a MBP with Catalina.  I cannot figure out if it's a glitch/bug or if I have ticked/unticked a box or locked it this way on accident.  Any help is much appreciated.

  I see something similar when the focus is on something other than the viewer.  Using keyboard shortcuts to change tools stops working.  Using the mouse to click on one of the tools in the tool bar makes things work again.

  Is that what you are seeing, or something else?

  Hi - I've had this issue for a while.  It seems to appear (for me anyway) - when I output the image to Photoshop.  When I save the image in PS and move back to Capture One the issue occurs.  If I then close Photoshop completely - the issue disappears! Very annoying........

  So I read the comment from Rob above, even though I had not round tripped to photoshop, I had it open, so I closed PS and the cursors round circle appeared in capture one, very weird bug.
