Annotations with text - append

Following my recent suggestion to be able to add text using the Annotations tool,

would like to also ask if it would be possible, if it's not too late, to also be able to add a link to a Metadata field? (with the same text formatting options as previously requested)

For example, Location, Scene, Creator, subject or any other info about a shoot, etc. would be very useful.
