Laggy dual screen setup
Hi people - Running the latest C1 on my 13' MBP M1, 16gb ram.
When running if off the laptop screen, everything is swift, snappy and great.
However, plug it into my monitor (5k), everything gets laggy really quickly. Adjustments take ages to apply, and even simple things like crop takes a while.
Any idea's people?
Thanks - Tim
**** UPDATE **** I have found that not using the whole screen as my viewer has made a huge difference. Sounds silly I know, but it's made a big difference. Hopefully as the software matures on M1 processors, it'll get even better.

Hi Tim, maybe this could be the case, see the 'NOTE' below:
Apple® Macintosh® minimum requirements- Intel® Core™ i3 (1st generation)
- 8 GB of RAM
- 10 GB of free hard disk space
- Calibrated monitor with 1280x800, 24-bit resolution at 96dpi
- macOS 10.15, macOS 11, macOS 12*
- Internet connection to run Capture One Live
* MacOS 12 is supported for builds up to 12.2
Recommended system requirements
If working with high-resolution images and doing calculation-heavy adjustments, we recommend the following:- Intel CPU with 4+ cores
- 16+ GB of RAM
- Solid State Disk (SSD)
- NVIDIA or AMD GPU with 8GB+ RAM
- Calibrated monitor with at least 1920x1200, 24-bit resolution at 96dpi
NOTE: Due to the significant additional calculation overhead, systems using 4k/5k monitors will require additional resources in addition to the above-recommended specification (both in GPU and CPU power). For professional experience, we recommend at least doubling the specification above for these configurations.
If you want to use more than one graphics card, then these must be from the same manufacturer, i.e. NVIDIA or AMD.We often get asked which graphics cards we recommend and the truth is, we cannot recommend a specific card or component as these are consistently being updated/replaced with newer models.
Generally speaking, the more RAM available to the graphics card and the more CUDA cores (NVIDIA) and Stream Processors (AMD), the higher the performance gain.

Thanks April - Great bit of info there. Hopefully as the software evolves, it'll get better with 5K displays. (The new studio monitor is gorgeous to work on!)
