Copy and Apply problem

When I'm processing a lot of sports images I often use Copy and Apply to globally make changes to things like colour temperature, brightness and so forth.  I also use Crop on a series of similar images.  Now crop will almost certainly have to be changed on each individual  image but by "pre-cropping" the image I don't have to open crop every time, it's just there.  The problem is that Copy and Apply will keep things like Brightness, Colour temp and so forth ticked in the Copy/Apply dialog box but C1 requires Crop to be ticked every time.  Do I have something set up wrong?  I use a lot of custom keyboard short cuts.  Could they be somehow interfering?
