Trash recovery feature

    You can. In both catalogs and sessions, you can view what's in Capture One's Trash folder for that catalog or session, and you can recover items by just dragging them from there to some other folder of your choice. 

    (As long as you haven't emptied the catalog trash or the session trash.)

    It would be awesome if there was a button to "put back to folder/Album" additionally to manual drag images to of the trash into other folders.

    I can see the attraction of that, but I wonder how it would work. How much coding complexity and processing overhead would be involved in keeping track for every image in the trash which folder it had to go back to and which album(s) it had been included in?

    you got an interesting point there.

    maybe just the information about the folder and not about the albums in which the images have been could be stored within the file (or sidecar xmp file).

    if the image is moved into catalog trash, the information ist stored within the file (or xmp).

    wehen emptying the trash the information is gone but if one wishes to restore then the image would be back at the "original" folder.
