Cannot install ICC profile for output (fogra39)
just upgraded from v21 to v22 and upon start up screen I get get a nag screen telling me that "coatedfogra39.icc" is missing.
I tried several things to import that profile with absolutely no luck!
1. within Color tool tab -> Base characteristics -> icc profile -> import nothing happens beside getting another nag screen telling me "no profiles imported"
A window where I could chose my icc profile (on my desktop) is not even prompted
2. I tried with the app "show package content" then navigate to "Contents/Frameworks/AppCore.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Profiles/Input" the last two don't even exist!!!
3. within "go to" on my Macs library no icc profiles can be found!
I need this output process for some of my clients asking for precisely that icc profile in their cmyk tif images.
It all worked well in C1 v21 but not in v22 and why does the import refuse to work???
thanks

Did you check under ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles?
Manual cppy and paste the .icc file and restart C!?

Hi Gerald
thanks for your advice...
strangely enough I don't have a ColorSync folder on my brand new MacBook Pro... :-/
On my older iMac I have a ColorSync folder under ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles but the coatedfogra39.icc profile is not in there! But I use it within C1 on that machine (within the icc profiles there are many more profiles next to camera profiles but also other cmyk profiles...
What's really weird is, that C1 doesn't let me import that icc profile and that I cannot locate them on my iMac to replicate that on my new MacBook Pro!
I did a clean install after many years of just restoring from a back FYI.

Have you opened the Colorsync app? I found this article online with a link embedded in the thread:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/threads/where-is-the-colorsync-in-monterey.44386/
Looks like the users colorsync where LR and C1 get profiles is created when the colorsync app is executed.
Hope this works, let me know

The Colorsync app will create the users ColorSync folder. I tested this under my beta test user id that did not have a colorsync folder under the user library. After exectuing ColorSync tool, the folder was created but empty. I copied all of the icc profiles from the iMac and pasted them in the new colorsync folder in the M1 MacBook Pro beta test user id library. Restarted C1 and the profiles appear when I show all icc profiles in the recipe format tool.

Hi Gerald
my hero of the day! :-))
Using the ColorSyncUtility did not generate a ColorSync folder within ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles
But in your link someone pointed out that in Monterey the ColorSync folder is now in the general library for all users (not only the admin) to access.
I added the fogra39 profile and within C1 it appeared, so I could add it to my output process!
Thank you so much!
Actually C1 must update their help article from 2020!

PS: I tried again with the ColorSyncUtility: launched it... no new folder in the go to library for me.
But I have it in my general library now and that seems to work too!
Thanks again for your instant help!

Looks like C1 is grabbing icc profiles from System and user folders with user icc profiles as user only. At one point I had duplicate icc profiles showing in C1 I guess with the colorsync utility, you have to click the user tab on the left, when I did so initially, the list of profiles was blank. I assume opening the this list may trigger the folder creation if it is not there already.
Glad the link helped!
