Perpetual license question/issue

Hi,

I have a perpetual license for C1, but still, periodically I get a popup to login in and refresh my credentials. To me, having a perpetual license means I should be able to install and activate the software and run it forever without ever needing an internet connection again.

I'm not sure what this babysitting is about with a perpetual license. I looked through the license agreement and don't see anything that mentions having to maintain an internet connection.

Did I miss something?
