Metadata Description - Find and replace?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have an ongoing issue with the Description box in Metadata. For example - there is a spelling error in the Metadata Description box  but I can't simply sync all the metadata with a corrected spelling because there are many different  Descriptions. How can I batch correct a spelling mistake without going through and doing it individually. Something like Find and Replace for the descriptions box.

  I am not aware of a C1 function to do that. The description is kept in the SQLite database. If you are familiar with SQL you should be able to manipulate database content using one of the available database tools for SQLite.

  Many thanks for all the suggestions. I used to use Photomechanic back in the day. I remember it being a great bit of software but that's quite a big and costly workaround to correct a few typos. It would be even more useful if Capture one had an auto correct spell checker for the IPTC data. Grumble grumble
