Photoshop keyboard shortcuts not functioning with C1 running - Mac OS

Latest version of C1.  Mac OS running Mojave and Photoshop CS6. When having Capture One open and Photoshop, C1 seems to render all the P/S keyboard short cuts inoperative meaning to change tools I need to keep going back to the tool menu making progress irritatingly slow and annoying.  Is this a known problem or  am I missing something here or have something set up incorrectly?
