Tethering Nikon Z7II with CaptureOne 21 not working

The documentation states the Nikon Z7II is supported but I am unable to tether.  I have had the software for over a year and am just not trying out this feature.  Am I going to be required to purchase CaptureOne 22 to get the support listed in version 21?  Listing a supported camera in the documentation should not mean it is crippled to JPG or some nonsense.  If the answer is to upgrade then I am not sure I am willing to do so.  I subscribe to Photoshop/Lightroom and by now the tethering should work.

  It is possible that the Nikon Z7 II support in Capture One 21 is limited and does not include tethering. If tethering support for the Nikon Z7 II is not included in version 21, upgrading to version 22 may be necessary to access that feature.   It should be working with v21 (14.0.2 or higher).

  Do you have enabled Tethering support for Nikon in the C1 preferences?

  Update to the latest v.21.
