Using keyboard shortcuts activates the search box???

This problem is frustrating me a lot. Before I upgraded to C1 22 I never had this problem.

I use keyboard shortcuts a lot. After upgrading to version 22, I find that at seemingly random, pressing a keyboard shortcut will input that key into the search box. An extra input later and my selections are deselected, and the picture I'm working on disappears from view.

This is extremely flow breaking. Has anybody else had this problem, and found a solution for it?
