Capture Pilot Windows 10 - Server Unavailable
I just switched from a macbook to a Dell XPS 15. Connecting to an iPad with Capture Pilot. Using Capture One 23.
I am unable to get capture pilot working. It sees the server but will not connect. It works on my macbook.
After a while it says "server unavailable - a connection error occured"
One would assume there would be a straightforward guide for this as every windows user who uses Capture Pilot with Windows would have to deal with a certain exact workaround to get it working. Alas, there is not.
I have combed the forum and tried various things such as turning off my firewall but nothing is working.
Something like this should be documented by Phase One so we don't have to comb through the forum to get it working.
Perhaps there is a guide for this error created by Phase One and I missed it...
Is there a straightforward up to date 2022 guide to get Capture Pilot working with Windows 10?

I think I have found a solution from another post. I will write it step by step. It was something I tried and it just worked so I hope the steps are correct.
1.) connect the devices to the network. I use a small portable router.
2.) Under the wifi network go to properties > configure firewall and security settings
3.) turn off the firewall to that network (be sure to check if it's public or private to turn off the right one)
4.) start capture pilot server and app on the iPad.
5.) it should connect.
6.) then turn the firewall back on and you should get a popup asking if you want to allow capture one through the firewall. This is the key.
7.) after you allow it through this popup it should work without turning off the firewall
